FOOD MENU
With our second FOOD ROOTS’ venue after ‘In Parma’ in central London, we wanted to focus on food products, recipes, beers and wines that come only from the Emilia-Romagna region, up north Italy. The name ‘Via Emilia’ comes from an ancient Roman road that still crosses the region connecting the main cities. The region is considered the Food Valley in Italy thanks to its famous pastas such as Tortellini, Lasagne and Bolognese and to its charcuterie and cheese such as Parma Ham and Parmesan among the others. It’s also very popular for our house speciality, the popular GNOCCO FRITTO: a mouthwatering lightly-fried bread served as a starter along with cured meats and cheese. Because we are proud to be Italians but we are even prouder to be Emilians!
SIDES
The speciality in here is our special bread which has a different name in each city:‘Chisulino’ in Piacenza, ‘Gnocco Fritto’ in Modena and Reggio Emilia, ‘Torta Fritta’ in Parma, ‘Crescentina’ in Bologna, ‘Pinzino’ in Ferrara. Different names for the same exact product: a soft gently-fried bread to taste with our personally sourced charcuterie and cheese. This starter experience should be enjoyed in the authentic way: using only your hands!

HOME-HAND-MADE PASTA
Each egg pasta dish we serve is passionately home-hand-made in here and is the typical one of that specific city. That’s why the name is written in the typical dialect, peculiar language of that specific province. All pastas are served "al dente" and will be topped with parmesan cheese. We also have home-made GLUTEN-FREE tagliatelle £10 and you can choose the sauce you prefer to have with.
